CHIPPY THE CHIPMUNK
Chippy the Chipmunk so furry and sweet
With a stripe down his back and his scurrying feet
With a cute little tail and his big chubby cheeks
He lives in a hole by the side of the street
Chippy the Chipmunk he darts all around
Gathering nuts he finds on the ground
He goes here and there with a chip chippy sound
And brings back to Mother the things that he’s found
His mother said “thank you for something to eat,
But you must never never go crossing the street!”
“But Mother you know I have such speedy feet
And the stuff on this side is not very neat.”
“No Chippy no,” said his poor little mother,
“I don’t want you to end up just like your brother!”
He ran out the door and he didn’t get far
“Look out little Chippy ‘cause here comes a car!”
Chippy the Chipmunk made one last mistake
And now Chippy the Chipmunk looks like a pancake!
“No Chippy no,” said his poor little mother
“Now you have ended up, just like your brother!” |
